Conservation Planner Southeast Region

POSITION: Conservation Planner           

DIVISION: Westervelt Ecological Services         



The Conservation Planner is to oversee and develop mitigation banking projects in the Southeastern Region.  This position will be responsible for the planning, execution, and tracking of new wetlands/conservation mitigation project approvals and will assist with regional compliance tracking of approved mitigation projects.


  1. Bachelor’s degree in a natural sciences field.
  2. Minimum of five years related work experience in mitigation planning, design and/or implementation.
  3. Demonstrated effectiveness in working with regulatory processes and personnel, including NEPA and Section 404 permitting.
  4. Experience with wetlands delineations.
  5. Knowledge of Southeastern biological habitats, species and general conservation biology/ecology.
  6. Previous experience with endangered species preferred.
