POSITION: Corporate Receptionist  - Part Time

LOCATION: Tuscaloosa, Alabama


The receptionist greets all visitors courteously, determining their needs and directs them to the proper person and/or office.  Generally acts as the first contact with the Company and, therefore, requires a courteous, positive image be displayed in all contacts with guests and company employees.  Operates the Avaya telephone system in answering all incoming calls and relaying calls to the proper employee, department or location.  Monitors all facility activity via corporate security monitoring system.  Maintains security by following procedures, signing in visitors, issuing visitor badges, controlling access in and out of the building, and observing suspicious activity.  Will assist Office Services as requested or assigned when time allows.


  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience working in a business environment.  Previous receptionist experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills needed to deal effectively with visitors/customers (face-to-face or on the telephone), and to provide a positive image of the company.
  • Must be able to work effectively, accurately and quickly with multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to work for extended periods of time within confined area.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
